We (Julie and Les) have been boating on Lake Windermere for many years now and our children have grown up with this being a big part of their lives.

As our children grew up, we decided to turn our passion for boating into a business, providing luxury sailing experiences to visitors and locals.

We started the business with a new Beneteau yacht in 2011 and named her ‘Elana’ – an acronym of our childrens names.

Fully licensed to sell and serve alcohol on board, we offer a fantastic selection of on-board dining including; afternoon teas, savoury platters and deli picnic lunches – to give an unparalleled experience upon Windermere.

We love what we do here at Lakeland Adventures and always strive to continually grow and enhance our guests’ experiences.

Our daughter Emma and her partner Sean have always taken a keen interest in sailing and have many years experience in providing excellent customer care and attention.

They are the newest members of the Lakeland Adventures team – Relocating from Manchester in 2021, and are thrilled to be part of the next exciting chapter on Windermere.
